    Hi guys
After communicating with the experts and also searching different websites I really became interested to pursue a master degree in accounting at DCU. Today one my friends just told me about a shocking news, he said 50% of the students in the master class are already sponsored by the accounting firms and the rest are paying the full course fees by themselves & they are not really job guaranteed after completing their course, he mentioned that I am going to have a tough year, workload ect.... and spend lot of money and time & may end up with nothing (NO JOB!!!), I was told that, it’s better to spend a little bit more and do the master in accounting at Smurfit if I really want to get something after that, master in accounting at DCU is tough for no reason and you sacrifice your life and money and time for a year!!! I just wonder if this is really true?!!!! The only reason that I want to do my master at DCU is to get a JOB after. Please give me some advice in relation to this important issue if you studied the same degree and experienced the same thing!! :(:(:confused:confused: Cheers

    Hey Martin

I am doing my undergrad accounting course @ DIT & I was thinking to do my master in accounting in DCU next year, as far as I know the course is very very tough , I don't know about the failure rate but I've heard the same things that you may find it difficult to find a job after finishing your master at DCU!! I have a friend who just finished her master in Smurfit last year and she got 5 offers from accounting firms & she said all her classmates got at least 2 offers. In the other hand i know 2 people did the same master in DCU and they are still looking for job. I am in the same boat exactly & I really dono what to do!!! Just don't want to work hard for a year and get nothing :(:( also ppl at DCU were complaining about their tax and corporate finance and the failure rate in may exams...
I hope someone just get us more information.

    Good Luck ;)
