Just got my house insurance renewal and went through small text....

Basically If my house will get burgled I need to show insurer cert that alarm was installed by a certified specialist.

Problem is that I have installed alarm system with my dad, but we are not certified installers.
Alarm works perfectly fine, It is upgraded version connected to the sim card, so i get information once it goes off, but - Insurance company won't accept this.

What i need is an advice - Can somebody with all necessary certs test my system, and give me service letter confirming, that system is fine and meets all the criteria?
How much should I expect to pay for this type of service?

Can you recommend any company, that can do this for me? I live in D15.
    Thanks

Its really down to what you insurance company want on the policy.
Are they asking for the system to be certified to EN50131?
If so you will not only need to get this done by a licenced company , but you need regualr servicing to maintain that standard.
The cost of this will generally be more than the discount you get from your insurance company in the first place.
Most insuranc companys will offer some sort of discount for an alarm without any mention of any standard . So you need to ask them exactly what they require.

Any alarm can be certified by a registered alarm company. Just because your alarm works doesn't mean it will up to standard. The cost will depend on what work is needed to bring it up to EN50131.

I would be reluctant to certify someone else's work but I know others have no problem.

There's a sticky on top of the page, give them a call for a quote.

If your system is not up to the EN50131 standard then just dont claim that standard, tell the insurance company you installed the system yourself.

They would be the best people to advise in this case.
