No fancy crests etc, kick off is at 12pm on ESPN.

    Teams are:

    (4-4-2):

Newcastle: Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon; R Taylor, Cabaye, Tiote, Gutierrez; Cisse, Ba

Subs: Elliot, Perch, Guthrie, Obertan, Ben Arfa, Lovenkrands, Ameobi.

    (4-4-1-1):
Sunderland: Mignolet; Bardsley, O'Shea, Turner, Richardson; Larsson, Cattermole, Gardner, McClean; Sessegnon; Bendtner.

Subs: Gordon, Bridge, Killgallon, Colback, Vaughan, Meyler, Campbell

Fully expecting us to get nothing from the game such is our record in recent derbies, hopefully things are different under O'Neill.

    Ha'way The Lads.

    Enjoy!

    Poor game so far.

Seems both teams are happier kicking each other than playing football. Even Demba Ba is kicking lads. I find it hard to understand how professionals get caught up in this derby 'passion', and feel the need to show the fans how much they care by running around fouling rather than playing football.
