    Hi,
Any speech and language therapists out there? After reading up on this , seriously considering this as a career choice. I would be a mature student with a Business Diploma. What are my options ?

    Thanks for any help

I am teaching Irish Sign Language (ISL) to my students. Being Deaf, I am a primarily user of ISL. My other communication methods are writing expression and gestures, but lipreading is my weakest communication skills. Commonly, lipreading is guess for many Deaf people, but others who are partially deaf or hard of hearing would be able to do lipreading well. I think maybe you would need to be aware of the various ways of D/deaf people's communication capabilities, so that would make some part of your study more inclusive. I suggest that Trinity College Dublin would be good to contact, because they have courses for Deaf Studies and Speech and Language Studies. However, they are not Business Diploma. Hope this is of some help to your options.
