Boards and Devore tried to warn against the irish *SOPA* law,not based on the spirit of the law, but how vague it is.
my 2 cents on the thread *an open letter to minister Sherlock* was it would lead to site owners having to walk on eggshells as to what they could carry safely on their site without being sued, and could be used as an act of spite by a TD where criticism of them was allowed.

i know a site wide announcement is in the making but if the new rules in say the rugby forum are followed boards will lose many of its features and forums that people enjoy.
this will lead to far less forums and *hits* to boards and all other irish based sites which will lead to loss of revenue.

So members of the boards of irish websites could you not agree to stick together at least until its first court challenge?agree to share the cost amongst yourselves for costs and possible fine?

Thank you minister Sherlock,we will never forget you.

A proper boards policy on this will be drafted in the coming days, so in the meantime any speculation regarding what is and isn't allowed, and how sites should cope with the change in the law is not really going to go anywhere.
