So Apple are selling an unlocked 8GB 3GS for €355. I'm a little tempted. I'm on a 3 prepay account at the moment that I'm really happy with.

Just wondering if there are any Apple aficionados out there that have any advice. If the price was €50 lower I'd probably go for it straight away, but I'm a little hesitant over that and the fact that it's only 8GB. I had an iPod Classic before it broke a few months ago and I definitely would have to cut down my music library a bit - I do need something to play music as well.

Any user experience is greatly appreciated!

Sounds like a lot of money for 3GS. I have an 3GS 32 GB. in mint condition (only the volume button is gone which I will replace for 20 Eruo in the coming days). It also comes wih very good and slick protection case.

It's also factory unlocked (never jalbroken), so can be used on any network. You can have it for € 250 :)

It might be worth trying Adverts.ie, I picked one up on there for €200, Brand new and sealed in it's box.

Very expensive for a 3GS considering they are coming to the end of their life, I cant see them being supported with updates much longer.
My advice would be to buy a second hand iphone4 which you should be able to pick up an official unlocked 16GB for about €250-350 depending on condition

I agree 100% with the above.

I had a 32GB 3GS up until about the 4S came out. As soon as the 4S came out, I bought a brand new, unopened 16GB 4 off adverts for €350. As it was sealed and never registered, the 1 year warranty started when I activated it with iTunes so I got a full years warranty with it
