    Guten Morgan Petrol Heads!

Anyone have any advice how i could tackle my roof. It has what looks like fungus or mould on it. Or lichens like the type you see on old rocks.
My mate mentioned bleach to kill it but Im not sure if Bleach and a convertible canvas roof would be a good match!
Any ideas how i can clean this off and bring back its lustre?
    Pictures attached :D
Do i need to bring it to a specialist cleaning centre?
Also is there a yearly routine with convertible roofs ie maintenance.
Its never sat under any trees so im not sure why this mould started. Its been there years though spreading:eek:
I got some specialist cleaner last year on ebay that was about as good as soapy water. Did a little not much.

i used to use a nail brush and soapy water. it sometimes takes a second go to get everything esp around stitching.

Retract the roof, every now and then, try not to leave it up all winter. If car is parked outside for extended periods ( ie second car) park the rear window away from direction of sun,UV hardens the window (yellowing)and makes it prone to splitting

I did mine the other day, a toothbrush, and a half tablet of milton(pharmacy) in 3 liters of water, followed by blue johnsons baby bath very dilute, followed by fabsil, a tent waterproofer you can get in halfords.
    Instructions here http://www.ttforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=229335
get the liquid fabsil, oh and get the mould off before fabsiling as it will be sealed in if not.
