    Im 6ft3 and around 13 and half stone give or take.
    I am looking to lose some weight as ive just gotten into to much bad habits since Christmas and so on.

    I just want to feel a bit better about how i look and in me clothes and so on.

    Ive been doing my best to try sort out what im eating and drinking for the last two weeks.

    I think to be honest i should probley just try and give up alcohol for a while as it leads to me eating more when im drinking. Easyer said then done in Ireland though......

    What are the best foods to eat if your trying to lose weight apart from the really obvious stuff ?.

    I dont like fruit never have infact i hate it. Not mad on green veg but will eat some of it. I have been sticking to meat like chicken or fish lately which i just season with a bit of spice to flavor.

    I eat either veg or potatoes with this but i hear potatoes aint the best for u?

    Im trying to cut bread and other carbs out but can be very hard as im used to eating them all my life.

    Im getting back into exercise again i just had to lay off for a while because of medical reasons. I use the thread mil at home for about half hour a day and i do walk fair bit most the time cause i dont drive.

    So where do i go from here without having to deprive meself ?

    13.5 stone isn't that heavy for somebody 6'3"
    Could be a case of being skinny fat. Putting on some muscle would improve apparance, then could cut fat if you still felt you needed it

    Thanks for the reply.

    I think main problem for me is temptations around me being young and being out and about all the time u do things rough and ready and end up eating to suit your lifestyle.

    I like a drink at certain times as well not a heavy drinker but dont mind few at weekend when footballs on. I guess trying to give it up for a while do more good then bad ha!

    I could stick to eating well and keeping to a limit and everyday i get the chance exercise as well. I have the thread mil here which i find is great and theres weights in the shed i might start using :-)

    I walk a fair bit to get from A to B anyway seeing as ive no car.

    Like most men i find weight seems to stay around the middle with me i mean the rest of me is grand ha its actually quite annoying because i find when im losing weight its only ever mostly on certain sections on my body which i didnt need to touch in first place.
