Anyone know any restaurants that have tasting menus, preferably in the city? I'm mad to try one, but the only place I knew of was Augustine's and I never got the chance to go there :(.

There was one in Greene's I think last year, but I just checked their website and I don't know if they are doing it anymore.

I found that on Google, but it said they were only running it for a month :(.

I can't find anything on Eco's website about a tasting menu and the Taste Cafe doesn't seem like the kind of place that would have a sophisticated tasting menu at night... Thanks though.

    I can imagine Eco's tasting menu::D:D

Very small soup of the day.
One stuffed garlic mushroom or one garlic breadcrumb stuffed mussel
    Mini portion of lasagne.
Chicken breast done three ways (all deep fried) - Kiev, Maryland, Nuggets
Fillet steak - tiny and overcooked with pepper sauce or garlic butter.
A very small portion of the exactly same veg to be served with each course.
Chips, garlic cheesy potato gratin and mash to be served with every course.
Dessert platter consisting of Bailey's Cheesecake, chocolate biscuit cake, tiramasiu and bannofee pie.
Tired filter coffee or an espresso with double the required amount of water and no crema.

    Rosemount cab sauv.
    Or Blossom Hill Merlot.

Faith, I'd say Ivory Tower would be your best bet.
Could be the best or the worst meal of your life, though.
Bit of a throw of the dice.

Apologies if the two recommended above were dead ends! Just passing on what I was told. Maybe there was confusion between "tasting menu" and "tasty menu"!

I can't see it on their website but I was also told Flemings Restaurant has a tasting menu.

If you fancy seafood or heading outside the city Luigis of Youghal and Ballycotton have a seafood tasting menu or try Ahernes of East Cork (Youghal)
