    great article.
    a disgraceful cheat who stole other real champions medals and disgraced this country.
    i have no time for people like this. i know how hard the silver medal winners trained and their sacrafices and it's just not fair. can't imagine how they'd feel though.

    This was horrendous when this happened, the worst thing you can do in sports is just cheating, have not time for those wasters.

    She didn't fail any test at the Olympics. She still has those medals. If I am not mistaken she is still very popular with the Irish people. Her wins were voted most favourite Olympic moments on RTE radio. In 2005, Marian Finucane's radio show organised a poll to find Ireland's greatest woman. Michelle Smith ranked second in that list.
