Half the races are still free on BBC though. Also, BBC have highlights for all the races.

If you want to keep things free, then I guess get sorted for Astra at 19.2°E for German channels, one of which will have live F1 (albeit with German commentary)... dunno if it's ZDF, RTL or Sport1?

RTL have the races live and Quali I think. SPORT1 have the free practice. All sessions are available between both those channels anyway. BBC radio 5live for commentary and you are sorted.

Saw somewhere that Sport 1 have not renewed their contract to show F1 practice sessions.

Isnt it funny the way Sky didnt give the time of day to F1 coverage until they secured the rights, barely a mention on Sky Sports News.
Ever since they have been plugging it non stop .

That's the main downfall of Sky Sports News. The German version shows everything, even sports covered by other channels. Pity it's not the same here

Yeah, it does seem to be "Sky Sports" News, as opposed to Sky "sports news" ie. News about stuff on Sky Sports.

The channel launches officially tomorrow, so should be on Sky Go thereafter
