Well thats common sense, dont need leak documents for that.

This country needs to change its tax system where everyone that works pay tax, that be a start

Who works and doesn't pay tax, besides those on very low wages?

More depressing budgets > Less money available to be spent by population > Less government income > more depressing budgets.

The bigger issue is that we're finding out this info from leaked leaked documents and and not from our government. It's not the first time either.

Ah come on out of that, the Germans have been running the show for a while now. The bigger issue is why do we need to be paying these guys in Leinster house when they have no control over anything.

    1012?

We have over an hour to get out of the country while we can!

There wont be a mini-budget in 2012. Any credibility the government has would be shot.

Although it would not surprise me. We have had 24 billion of a correction so far, in 4 years. Has not really worked has it. Cutting and raising taxes as a policy has not worked. Putting over 45 billion into toxic banks has not worked either. Seems we need a new approach.

A mini? Surely there are better budget cars? And a car from 1012 will have serious mileage. It'll never pass the NCT

Swans are vicious. You'll need more than a net. My Polish housemate uses a sledgehammer to kill our dinner.

Lets introduce a special "Swan Tax" then.

government should crowd source its financial plan. its proven to work better, publish it a few weeks before its enactment and get qualified feedback from some finance experts

You'd kill the economy. It'd be our swan song.

Sure that's just going to blow your dinner to bits. Might aswell make soup. You stun with the hammer, snap the neck, into the bag, home for tea. I've seen the Polish doing it up by the Lough in Cork. Say what you like about the Polish, but they're efficient swan hunters.

Austeriry for some ie us and not those pretending to work in the dáil and their pay advisors and those in the civil service.

Remember the retired civil servant with a retirement package of 800,000 euro in which 200,000 is tax free plus a yearly pension of 100,000+ (god, knows how much it is).
I wonder what kind of austerity is he on? What about the countless more others on rediculous pensions?

I realise the pay and pensions of these politicians and civil servants won't help to bridge the deficit but it will help. Many people have taken huge hits and batterings and its god damn insulting seeing this high pay and pensions for those on the gravy train.

Have you got a link? because the last I heard the economy will grow by at least 1% this year.

1% is not growth in any real sense. The figures are probably being massaged so it doesn't look like the economy is contracting.
