renault master problem

01 renault master, engine and gearbox rebuilt, drives great good speed and power on open road. starts ok. can be smokey when srarts but ticks over ok.
once drive off all ok and drives well. problems start when on minor roads and slow down for bad turn,when try accelerate off from turn no power seems to be getting too much fuel, becomes smokey, best way i can deal with is not to press acc pedal for while till excess used and then gently apply. from then drives great plenty power etc till next turn when slow right down and then repeat of problem. anyone have similar problem or ideas on putting right. be gratefull for any advice

You need to go back to your mechanic about this. I don't no what your problem is but since you got the engine rebuilt you shouldn't be suffering these problems.

After all you would have paid a good deal of money to get the work done and something obviously is not right.

check oil level isn't too high.
check for floating crap in the fuel tank

thanks guys,will check as suggested. dont think engine problem as drives great and plenty power when needed like on motorway. was hoping someone out there with master that had similar problem could help. thinking problem in following areas fuel system or pump, air mix, exaust blockage etc. keep suggestions coming thanks
