ooops...diamond came out of engagement ring.

its ten years old so guess not under guarantee....might be on house insurance tho, must check.

Whats the best/best value way to get replaced?

Simply go to good local jewellers? or is there a service in Dublin or elswhere that anyone can recommend?

    Any advice appreciated...:D

After a break in a while back the insurance company sent someone to set a value on the few bits and bobs that were taken which wasn't much as I'm not into jewellery. While their agent was here I mentioned that I'd lost a stone out of my engagement ring and they did say they could replace it and would quote a really good price. However, their price was still way beyond my financial reserves so it remains un-replaced. So my suggestion is to shop around the jewellers but also check with your insurance company about their jewellery valuers too.
