Just wondering what whats the avg price for timing belt and water pump change on a 08 vauxhall vectra 1.9cdti? i rang one opel dealer he said about 530?though it was a bit expensive, just wondering if its around that or would it be better to go to a smaller garage or even another main dealer?

I thought the vectra was a timing chain. Obviously not.

Is it the 120bhp or the 150bhp engine?

    The 1.9cdti is belt alright.

Its due every 150k or 10 years though, have you hit 150k on a 4 year old car?

They should double check their info. The interval is 150,000km or 10 years as the Nissan Doctor says above. So you are fine for now.

Main dealer picking numbers out of the their head based on what the intervals were for Opels 10 years ago:rolleyes:

vectra cdti 120bhp timing belt is due change 100,000miles OR fours years since last change, which ever comes 1st!!

hot and cold conditions over 4 years does not bode well for a belt.

i rang a different main dealer today he said 80,000 miles offical stance from vauxhall is 100,000 ,ill probably do it around the 80,000 to be safe 55,000 on it now

I work in an opel dealer, the interval is every 10 years / 150,000 km.
