Where can I sell high end furniture

My family are emigrating at the end of school term to Canada. We have a heap of great furniture, all top quality and makes and haven't got a clue what to do with it. We can't afford to give it away, cause we are thinkin it will assist with the flights and new apartment rental, etc.etc.etc. I'm so scared that we'll end up leaving it behind for the new buyers of our house...'that's if they go through with the sale on time' as they have already offered 60% less than we purchased the house for in 2005/6. Does anyone know of any decent companies who sell good furniture.... or auction off furniture without ripping us off on the commission. Most of the sites selling furniture are a joke, if you advertise something for 20 quid that you bought last year for, youre likely to be offered a fiver! and "would you deliver it to Portlaoise for that"!!!!
Any assistance would be really appreciated for decent stuff to be flogged!!! Or indeed anyone interested let me know!!!

You could advertise it yourself on sites like adverts.ie, set your own price, delivery/ collection conditions...
You'll always get someone chancing their arm with low offers, but it's still probably the best way to sell anything without paying someone else to do it for you.
Good luck with the move! :)

As the above poster said state your conditions in the ad, no texts, call between X and Y times, can not deliver etc.

Hi, Can you send me some details on what you are trying to sell, I know of a few people in the furniture industry but it would really depend on quality and style of what you have. Is it fairly new or would any of it be antique or from the 50's and 60's.
    Thanks

I think most companies are struggling to get rid of their own stock so they're not really interesting in taking in more unless they get it at rock bottom prices.

I've placed ads on gumtree, adverts.ie and ebay and i find that i sell more on ebay. That said you pay much heftier fees to ebay (10%) but i've found that the people on ebay.ie don't mess you about as much as the other sites.

Just my opinion but i'm sure someone will have a different experience
