ACCA CPD Articles - Verifiable?

Just wondering if anyone has used doing the CPD articles and multiple choice questions as a route to completing their CPD? Have the option of doing the courses but at €500 its very expensive. Anyone have any ideas?

The CPD articles and online questions count for verifiable CPD, up to 2 units each (depending on how much time you spend on them).
