Squeaky MTB disk brake how to solve

Ok long story short is i recently had to bleed disk brakes, small amount of oil got on the pads .

Got new pads and degreased the brake and disc thouroughly , as in proper shimano degreaser which is basically petrol , and disc brake cleaner, disc was very well cleaned and dry.

So now the new pads/disc are giving a squeak at the very last second before you stop fully, i.e you could be going full belt and brake hard and they work perfect , but if rolling gently along and tapping the brake to come to a slow stop they are a bit squeaky :D

Any ideas , as i said new pads and disc thouroughly degreased before fitting.

Try riding it fast and breaking heavily, to heat up the pads and then squirt the disc and brake with water. Repeat this a few times and see if there is any improvement

Wouldn't that potentially buckle the disc?

I'd just let the pads bed in before you look at remedial work - My pads squeak (and bite well!) when they're new.

Otherwise... If it squeaks, oil it! :D

WD40...ha ha i know a lad that actually done that!! ha ha he's a funny sort...you may have overheated the new pads so will have a bit of a skin on them it should wear off with some heavy braking..

Did you bed them in properly?
Try this if you're sure they're already bedded in, then make sure to follow the correct procedure next time.
