NCT Failed - Advice?

    Morning Folks

My 05 TDI Passat (BKC engine, 170,000km on the clock) failed the NCT yesterday on the following points, anyone any ideas/advice on what to do, particularly about the chassis?

    1. Emissions - limit is 3.00/m for a turbo, mine were at 4.37. I probably could have taken the car on a much longer drive before the test, but I wasn't too pushed as I had a feeling it would fail on something else anyway (was using the test as a bit of a diagnostic, tbh)

    2. Drive-shaft/mounting - one loose bolt, not worried about this as it's easily fixed.

    3. Holes in the undercarriage - this is the one I'm really worried about. I hit a rock on the road about two years ago (pitch dark, lashing rain, hadn't a hope in hell of seeing it). The undercarriage was pushed up on the passenger side, but it went to the panel beaters and was repaired - I was told that there was cosmetic damage to the plastic faring that runs under the car, but the chassis itself was repaired and was structurally sound. However, the tester said that there are small holes underneath the fairing, and that he can't pass the car as long as they're present, as they're on the superstructure of the car itself.

Anyone any ideas what I can do about this? Is there anything that can be done? Forgive my ignorance, but can they be welded/sealed in any way? And am I looking at a holy fortune to get that done? My mechanic's suggestion was to replace the damaged plastic faring and hopefully that will hide the damage, but that's not much good to me if I get the same tester again or if he's left a note on the system that the car needs to be checked under the faring.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
