Was anyone actually listening on the date in question On Today With Pat Kenny about the the report. Now, to tell you the truth, I didn't hear the review myself however; Could this mean that this saga is set to either be a long battle of misfortune for Bertie Ahern or a saga of which we the people face misfortune that will never face up to?

    http://www.rte.ie/radio1/todaywithpatkenny/2012-1-18.html

In the midst of all that happened in this country, here is my view with the tiger's past.

My own misfortune during the boom years is that I never really told anyone that some of my friends were being greedy which lead them to be doing something wrong with themselves. In my lifetime, I or certainly my family have never ever borrowed one red cent from a bank to buy a house or (i.e. from the banks point of view) to do whatever we wanted. I, personally couldn't comprehend such an action.

IMO; People saying that one scared word, STOP, would have meant all the difference to let them (i.e. the previous government and the banks) know they were doing was fundamentally wrong.

That scared word can be used time and time again in the present day if our government had the know how to get rid our economic mess.

The corruption in this country in my view was absolutely breathtaking to say the least. There are IMO a few good starts to get us over the line in terms of easing our burden.

A tribunal which gave the irish people a voice to say how they feel was certainly riveting IMO. It would been interesting to go for me to those hearings to see what was really going on.

This post corruption period is certainly a battle which may never end because the battle in Mahon's Terms has just begun with Bertie, just wait and you see it.

    Any feedback will be appreciated!

:pac::pac::pac: What makes you think anything has changed...

From a government pov, I see little in the way of corruption easing, all the smae nonsense with expense and advisors and TD pimping local issues still goes on. The likes of Nama and developers and bankers are still hiding behind TDs and walking around scot free as a result. The cast may have changed but it's certainly still the same play going on

OP, I'm a little confused. Is this thread about the Mahon report? People going nuts in the Tiger years? I'm not sure what we are supposed to be discussing here.

    The Mahon Tribunal Report is due to be released in a couple of weeks according to The Irish Times;

    http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/ireland/2012/0223/1224312243273.html

One thing to note is that the website for the planning tribunal seems to be updated after 3 being dormant.

    http://www.planningtribunal.ie/asp/index.asp?ObjectID=310&Mode=0&RecordID=480

It is very discerning to hear from rumors IMO that the report may be amended to suit those in FF. The work on the report is said to be worked on by the two judges within secrecy. Which means that the report is due to be imminent any day now.

There are most certainly some winners and many losers; including this guy called Seamus Ross.

    http://www.independent.ie/national-news/from-mahon-tribunal-to-menolly-homes-ross-has-been-plagued-by-woes-3030580.html

He is certainly nursing the loss of his money in a big way.

Anyone is being summons by Mahon IMO is probably being regretting every move they made during their dark times; the sad thing is that it probably get even darker.
