    Hi Guys,

I have an xps m2010 laptop/pc and it wont boot, just a black screen.I have it narrowed down to the video card.Is there any place that will repair it for me.I have removed it and cleaned and put new paste on it and it worked for awhile.Ant ideas????

ya if it's under warranty then contact DELL (get a quote from them anyway) or you could always get a quote from any local shops ect aswell...i know when my graphics card went bust it damaged part of the motherboard and if that's the case it's a fairly big job replacing it...also if you are sure of the problem then ask about sourcing the parts yourself and get a quote for them fixing it if you can't yourself

    Thanks for the replies,
I have redone the thermal paste again and am monitoring the gpu temperature.I have the fans set to full speed to keep the temp down. Its cuurently at 52 degrees and holding.I reckon it has to do with it overheating as every time i replace the paste it boots up just fine.Up to €200 for a manufacturer refurb on ebay and that may not last!!!
