    can anyone recommend a good website/dvd for a beginner learning the tenor banjo? (apart from gerry o connor!)

    Can't recommend a DVD, but the banjo hangout forum might be worth checking out. On the five string forum there's a few threads discussing beginner material (and dvd reviews) so I would imagine you should find something similar on the four string forum.
