Thinking of taking this trip of India

I would fly from London to Mumbai. Mumbai to Goa to Kerala. Explore South India.

Then fly from Kerala back to Mumbai to Agra, from Agra to Uttar Pradesh. Explore there and up to the Himalayas.

I know a friend who went to India before and he gave me this advice. I think he assumes I should explore the cities where I fly to. I hope €3,000-€3,500 would be enough. But what do you guys think of the trip itself?

Just back, I flew with Quatar Airways via Doha booked on edreams, for €750.

Agra definitely worth the trip, but if you can manage it take a guide, much more useful than wandering about.

Uttar Pradesh is a whole state, not a place, Agra is in it. Best place, IMO, is Rajasthan, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jeiselmeir, etc.

Also done Nepal/Himalayas, very different, hard to get about, lot of walking required to appreciate it.

Definitely worth visiting India, but be careful of when, after March the south gets HOT, up to 50C and very humid. Best is early in the year.
