    if i buy heifers today, over 18 months and tested within the last 6 months, i can sell them before the six months is up?
    Whats the story with the tb test, when are they"out of test",

    If you buy then in over 18 months they would have to have been blooded. You would need another blood test to sell them on.
    If they are within a year of their previous TB test then they can be sold, otherwise private test.

    I'm not sure if there is a minimum period you have to hold them for.......:confused:

    60 days from when they are tested, isn't it? Correct me if I'm wrong somebody!

    Yup, 60 days. As for the time you have to hold them, I think as long as you don't go over a certain number of cattle transactions into/out of your hers=d per year, you can sell them on again whenever you like.

    The have to be within TB test to sell in the mart but if you are sending them for slaughter to a butcher or to the factory they do not have to be in test however if a certain persentage of your herd is out of test you are restricted from selling in the mart until you test and after a higher % you cannot buy in
