CV advice

Looking to change my CV up a little. This is what it looks like at the moment:

    PERSONAL DETAILS

    Name/nationality/email/address/phone

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Jobs spanning the last 7 years

    EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

    College and school included here.

    HOBBIES

This typically includes what I'm currently doing whilst out of work.

Now, the problem I think is that when somebody looks at it they see that my last job was 6 months ago. It's not until they actually get down to the 'Hobbies' section that they learn that I've been active in that time. Is it wise to create a new heading above professional experience to show them straight away what I've been doing? Could I use something like 'Recent Activity' to categorise this?

    Thanks.

The cover letter is where you explain the 6 month gap.

Or if you're worried you could just put the explanation in the professional experience section.

Personally I would use the cover letter.
