    I just picked up a new HP 1050A printer/scanner/copier for EUR 29.90 in Heatons, The ink for this, HP 301 is EUR 23.00 per cartridge however Tescos have a double pack of genuine HP branded ink for EUR 32.00

    Plenty of printers in stock in Heatons Navan, I assume its nationwide..

    EUR 47.00 on Littlewoods for the printer alone

    It's a good price for this printer. A friend of mine bought this for 49 Euro, however he bought inks from Tescos and said they wouldn't work in it. It seems you always end up paying for a fortune for inks once you have the 3 colours in one cartridge. My Canon takes 5 separate inks and I can buy the full set of 5 for just 8 Euros on ebay.

    I've edited my post, the Inks I bought in Tescos are Original HP ones :)

    Good value alright, I paid €33 for the same printer in Argos a few weeks ago. It's a good basic printer/scanner/copier.

    FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

    You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

    Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

    Mine is the Canon Pixma MG5350. I got 35 Euro cashback from Canon bringing the total price down to 105 Euro delivered from a company here in Dublin. One thing I don't like about this printer is that it's shiny surface gets smudged, scratched and attracts dust very quickly. So I don't think I'd recommend it at 140 Euro TBH.

    I'm sure if you look around at reviews you'll find something better for the price, then just check on ebay that you can get cheap ink for it before you buy it.

    I bought the HP 2050 SE with an extra free black cartridge before Christmas for €39.90 in Tescos.

    A word of warning to anyone trying to refill or use spurious ink or cartridges with HP printers. HP have issued firmware updates for some of their products and the won't work at all if you don't use HP ink.
