eBay feedback

Is there anyway to try and get eBay themselfs to remove a neg feedback as opposed to the buyer removing it?

I sold an item for 2.50 delivered last week. Buyer mails me after a few days claiming the item arrived broken. (I've sold 50+ and never had one broke before) I replied to the buyer saying could they mail me a picture of the damage and I would organise I refund or replacement for them.

After 5 days the buyer leaves neg feedback saying item damaged not worth my while sending a pic. Granted the cost is low but why should I reimburse the buyer without proof of damage? They have a feedback score of 7 so could well have been pulling a fast one on me too but it sucks having a fully positive score being hit when I dont believe it's deserved.

They didnt bother opening a dispute, they didnt bother sending you a pic, so its possible they were trying it on in the hope you would replace or refund without them having to do anything - unfortunately even tho they negged you rather unfairly, ebay wont do a thing about it. If you really want it removed, complete a feedback withdrawal form, offer an unconditional refund, and the buyer may decide to accept that - if they dont then its unfair yes, but nothing else you can do.
Leave a reply to the feedback, saying that the buyer refused offers to rectify the situation and that you were happy to help -something to that effect.
And add them to your blocked bidder list.

I sent the buyer a feedback removal and they declined it so I sent a feedback dispute to eBay, I'm not holding out much hope though, it's a real pity the way eBay has changed compared to a few years ago, all they seem interested in is sellers fee's nowadays

Contact eBay and fill in a feedback removal form (can't remember what it is called, sorry) and they will take 1-2 days to decide whether or not to remove it.

I did this a few weeks ago and had two negatives removed (like you, I didn't deserve them).

One of my buyers claimed I said there was more clippings included, but I hadn't. Then she claimed I badly packaged the items. Bubble wrap, cardboard and a bubble padded envelope.

Another buyer left me negative feedback after I opened an unpaid item dispute against her.
