Front Passenger footwell 2005MY Superb

Asking on behalf of a friend:

3 weeks ago he noticed the front passenger footwell was damp in his 2005MY Skoda Superb.

He cleaned out the plenum drains which were blocked and changed the pollen filter and dried out the cabin.

He noticed the floor was again damp after a car wash but the drains are still clear.

I've told him to run water on the car to check the door deals and also to take off the door card to see if the plastic behind it has split and letting water in.

    Any other suggestions?
