No. the point of putting saorsat on a different satellite to the astra satellite was so that coverage wouldn't extend to the uk.

If you can't get Saorview on Welsh coast or Cornwall with a big aerial you are unlikely to get Saorsat,

    See http://www.saortv.info/satellite-saorsat/saorsat-reception/
    Scroll down.

There is mainland Europe TV on 9e Ku band.

It's unlikely in extreme that 9E Ka-Sat Irish Spot will have other than Saorsat, which will not have more than Saorview.

There are 82 spots on Ka-Sat. If there was another regional service on Ka-Sat you would not receive it in Ireland. The Austrians could for instance have a German regional station on Ka-Sat "Free to air" that hardly anyone in Germany or Switzerland could receive unlike transmissions on 19.2E ku band.

The techies here in Isle of Man believe they will be able to get Saorsat here on the Isle of Man. They believe the spot will be centred on Dublin.

They are importing and will be supplying equipment locally to pick it up. I'll let you know how I get on... !

The Spot is centred on Middle of Ireland. But IOM is plausible. But others have tried already and failed.

South West of IOM etc can get Terrestrial Saorview, which is more extensive service.
