    from the article;
With over 1,000 ft-lbs of torque starting at zero rpm and a 600 kW (805 hp) motor controller, the Tango accelerates from 0-60 mph in under four seconds, finishes the standing 1/4 mile in about 12 seconds at over 100 mph

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

    Weight 3150lbs for a tiny 2 seater

Range 40-60 miles max (that means about 10 miles with a heavy foot)

    What a joke...

1980 wants their "futuristic" dash back:

Yet another example of EVs looking crap for the sake of it.

If you had 108,000 to spend would you blow it on that thing or this:

Plus you'd have a few thousand quid leftover for some nice mats and a cup of coffee.

A 600 kW motor controller? Then what rating is the motor? A 600 kW motor is one hell of a big beast and there would be no way of getting it into such a small box. If it was something like a 12V motor, then it would be the size of the Empire State Building. Either way, 600 kW would launch you to the moon in a small car.

The battery pack to service a 600 kW system would be enormous, and would weigh a lot more that 3,500 kg. The little cars would need to be accompanied by a couple of 44 tonne trucks carrying the batteries. Unless, of course, the batteries can supply power at vast Amps for a few seconds only, in which case, having reached 130 mph, you run out of ooph!

This has got to be a spoof, surely?

I found that 'thing' while searching for a single seater commuter vehicle, was just thinking to myself one day that going to work every day with 3 empty seats and a whole empty boot is a waste.

BMW have their Smart concept, no news about it since 2009

VW have their 1L Thing which apparently gets 235 mpg.

There was the Carver One, but they went bust.

    Any suggestions ?

There was a Tango featured on Jay Lenos garage. Interesting technology but crazy money for it though.

    Any suggestions ?

There is the T25 by Gordon Murray, its supposed to be out in the near future, he has a lot of input into it so it should be good, not sure if the world is ready for it though.

Impressive stats, but I would not have the confidence to corner faster than 10 km/h with something that narrow. No surprise a roll cage is fitted. Maybe they should have fitted stabiliser wheels as well!:p
