I am in the market for a road bike for some training and to work on my fitness. I have a budget of approximately €1000 & have looked at a few different bikes and would appreciate any informed opinions on what route to go down. I hope to get out 2-3 times per week covering 60-80K per spin. The bikes I am considering are a Lapierre Audacio 400, a Felt 75, Felt 85, Giant Defy 1, Giant Defy 2 & Boardman Road Comp:confused:

    Any opinions greatly appreciated

I'm new to the cycling world and just ordered a Specialized Allez Elite for €1000. I looked at a lot of models and there's just so many to choose from.

Best of luck with whatever you decide to get.

Bump you budget up a small bit and get a full carbon planet x sram rival for €1,300.
The other bikes are probably grand bikes but after 6 months or so with a relatively heavy aluminum bike you could be hankering for an upgrade to a carbon bike. For the little bit extra its definitely worth it!
