My almera gearbox exploded today, So will have to sell it for parts as no point putting the money into it. I mostly do Dublin suberb driving and regional road driving. I have a max of €4.5 to spend. Looking at a 320d, if the turbo, swirl flaps and suspension have been dealt with are they good to go? Any other problems to…

My almera gearbox exploded today, So will have to sell it for parts as no point putting the money into it.

I mostly do Dublin suberb driving and regional road driving.
I have a max of €4.5 to spend.

Looking at a 320d, if the turbo, swirl flaps and suspension have been dealt with are they good to go?
Any other problems to look out for?

Is the 320D much better then the 318I in fuel consumtion?

Need to get a new car in the next two weeks, so any help or suggestions be very appreciated

I don't think we got an e46 318d

The 320d came in a number of different bhp outputs though.
