Hi.. In a rush here. I just realized the united game is on 3e and not tv3. Can you install 3e from the normal terrestrial aeriel? We never had it on our tele for some reason.
Do you need a digital tele or something?
    Thanks.

    Yes.
if you have a tv /set top box capable of getting the saorview signal.

If you have rte2hd then you should already have it .

    Some helpful sites and information

Possibly you may just need a Saorview approved set top box (cost 50 to 90 Euro)

You don't need an HD TV. You just need to be able to receive Saorview.

A normal aerial works if you have a suitable receiver.

    Free.

UPC and Sky are Pay TV and don't use your aerial.

Surely you can get 3e without saorview..what do you mean by suitable receiver?

You can get it by other means through Sky or UPC but if you want it via an aerial then it's through Saorview.

Or Freeview, in certain parts of the country

    3e isn't on Freeview.

    3e isn't on Freeview.
Correct - nor will it be part of proposed mini-mux for Freeview after DSO in N. Ireland. Think the reference must be to the original soccer game that was on Five (Freeview/Freesat) as well as 3e.
