Anyone got a notion what these are? seen them installed new in Topaz.

Has a card reader / infrared scanner on it and keypad and a screen.

    Big heavy design.

Maybe its a control unit for these. Or just some big ass lockers.

Edit: oops that image may need resizing

They're probably just future proofing for when no one can afford to run a car but we'll still be expected to spend our money "at the pumps" to maintain the Govt. coffers. :pac:

More realistically, might it be a new way for them to offer an all-hours unmanned Prepay option for their pumps? Is the station 24hr already?

Its not 24 Hr at the moment, But I wouldnt have though a prepay machine of that scale would be required. Its massive.

There's one in Topaz, Abbeyleix as well and as somebody stated there it's a parcel drop off point.

Presumably it's linked to a courier company?

often used by sales reps for replenishing stock, or other logistics requirements.

makes things a lot more efficient and ensures that Joe rep pops into his local TOPAZ and buys stuff as well as diesel.

    It's all about revenue folks.
