    Hi Folks,

I increased my training over the last few weeks. Not too much now. Just extra running.. an extra 1 to 2 miles a day.

I did not think this had much impact but I am always want to be eating food the last few weeks. I am extra hungry.

Is there any way to get over this?

I have a good diet, porridge, tuna / chinken sandwich at lunch, dinner, meat and veg and fruit during the day.. So I am not sure this want to eat more has started.

Please move to a different forum if not the correct forum.

    Thanks.

    From what base?

I was doing about 4 to 5 miles a day. Have been doing this for the last two years. Not a whole lot I know.

What was your weekly mileage and what it is now ?
Do you run every day ?

    I am guessing here

6 runs * 4.5 mile average = 27 miles per week ( A decent weekly mileage total. dont be negative)

Increase each run by approx 1.5 miles
    6 * 6miles = 36 miles per week.

This is quite a jump, if you did it quickly, watch out for injuries.

However, running 1 mile, burns off approx 100 calories, so the extra 9 miles is only 900 calories a week.

Its been a bit cold recently, I always get hungrier when its cold.

If you are a healthy weight and you are not putting on weight, dont worry about it, just make sure that the extra calories are quality ones.

You may have already been in a slight calorie deficit prior to increasing mileage.
