What are the personal trainers in Carlisle like?

I'm thinking of joining that gym, mainly because it has a pool and I like swimming, but also because I want to build up some strength. I need, however a good trainer, as I've just been with a physio for the last year fixing a bad back, and I have some imbalances that need to be corrected, but most importantly I have to make sure I'm not doing anything resulting in damage to the "dodgy back".
So am wondering what the personal trainers are like - any experiences or recommendations?

    Many thanks!

I was a member about 2 years ago and I used the pool mainly. The pool can get very busy in the evenings and could be very frustrating especially when there were groups of teens messing around with their friends. So I went in the mornings before work and it was great as there would only be a handful of people there. I found the staff at the time pretty useless to be honest, there was never anybody around. The night I joined I was told to ask one of the members of their team to help me plan my fitness programme so I managed to grab someones attention and he told me to start with the treadmill and he'd be back in a minute which of course never happened. There are personal trainers available that you pay for but I never used any as I was happy to do my own thing! So basically Carlisle will suit people like me that go mainly for the pool and classes and are happy to go it alone when using the equipment. But then again I am not a hardcore fitness fanatic! If I haven't completely turned you off let me know if you are joining as you save a lot when you join in groups!
