wildcat predator rifle moderator

I have for sale a wildcat predator sound moderator for use up to the calibre .243.
it has a 1/2" thread and has only fired 150 shots through it.
reason for sale is that i am changing my .223 to a smaller rifle and there is no need of such a good moderator on the smaller rifle.
i paid €300 for this, will sell for no less than €200.

would that work on a 17hmr or be abit of overkill

I have no experience with a .17. I think they are louder than a .22 but I'm not sure.
