Helmets and Headset & coms

well i have been stuck with this question for a bit i am after a good helmet for my loadout i have one in mind its a emerson http://www.airsoftpark.com/product_info.php?products_id=4306
i seen a review and just wanted to hear from peoples experiences with helmets especially from those who play milsim type events. i know there are other helmets and they all vary in price. i just want to get info off people about there experences with these items.

also i would like info on headsets. which one you use that would fit under this helmet . i have seen few headsets like the Z tactical ones but as it is a grey area to me i am hesitant to buy any headsets as i don't know which ones are a hit or miss.

also i would like info on coms haven't a clue about em what ptt to use which radios to buy so if you have any info please let me know as i would like these items to finish off my loadout. also if you think i have left any other info regarding these three topics please do comment

Going on my own personal experience & opinion :

Currently have a MICH 2000, Genuine Peltor headset and Motorola XTN446.

Pro's - All go and work together very well, also looks the part, which, let's face it, this is what it's all about in airsoft

Con's - Damn it get's warm, Goggles or glasses can steam up

In truth, I have probably worn the helmet a handful of times over the last 3 years, Milsim or skirmish., tending to prefer either a boonie or baseball hat.

However, that looks like a very good helmet you've linked to. Still not sure I would go down the road of ordering another though.

I dont know much but from what ive been told Binatones dont work with any headset but there own make of headset. I hear Cobras are very good and are only around 40euro for 2, I know someone who got them on ebay for 35.

Thanks for info could you pm on a link to where you got headset and radios as ill try not to buy some thing and after wards say why didnt i wait haha like a lot of airsoft buys in airsoft

I dont even use comms I feel they have more negatives than positives! But if used in the right way I can see the benefits.

I have reviewed a number of Helmets for the channel and have to say that the helmet you have linked wins hands down - it's awesome if you like helmets - WarHammer bought the multicam version of it an he loves it. The multicam pattern on it is very good too for a copy. Hope this helps!

I ran a sordin/peltor earmuff style headset AND a Swimmer style one and both worked out really well - this is a really great helmet -light and brill ventilation - trust me you won't be disappointed -also as a footnote -the helmet is the lightest of ALL I have tried - and less strain on the neck after a full day

where did you get your headset Ger as you know your self as a airsofter you tend to buy on implus but i just want too buy a great headset and not worry about getting another also what coms do you use bud as i must get a set i sick of having no vocal cords at the end of a game :P
