Problem with new watch

I had to go to a Jewellers yesterday to get a battery put in a watch for my father and ended up buying myself a watch!

It was marked from €100 down to €29 so got it as an everyday kind of thing, but the problem is everytime I take it off it stops working. It wasn't working when I got it, didn't cop it in the shop as was around the actual time, but when I brought it back the second hand started moving.

I figured out last night if I took it off it stopped working after a few mins but if I put it back on it worked after 5 to 10 mins.

The problem is I didn't get a manual with it and can't find anything on the Net about the watch.....its marked HEAD and has numbers on the back.

Could it be one of the watches that you need to wear to work (no marking on the watch to say so) or the battery is dud and gets some power from body heat?? I'll probably bring it back to the shop at lunch but just put it up here to see what people thought.

It sounds like there maybe a loose contact with the battery or the battery is nearing the end of its life. I would take it back to the jewelers to have them take a look at it. Bring your receipt and warranty.

From the Man who buys watches called "gjsdfhalsdjkkljsdjk" and "ewruhweuyrbc" or even "msndfnspajdjf"

    LOL :D

Leave our Peasant alone.:D He's the only man who can tell the difference between "gjsdfhalsdjkkljsdjk" and "ewruhweuyrbc". And get the cool shít at the right knockdown price. Scotsmen could learn a thing or two from the lad. Actually our German cousins are damned good bargain hunters. Blindfold your average Bavarian in any shop and spin him like a compass and he'll point at the best deal. :)

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
