Anyone know if Sony plan to make the Netflix app available on Irish Blu-ray players?

Netflix will be added to the Sony Entertainment Network platform but it's not known which devices are compatible yet. Should be announced fairly soon.

Thank you. Should have checked here first. Looks like ongoing chat about Netflix and RTE support on Sony devices. Sounds like it will happen soon.

Think page 5 or 6 says that it will not be compatable on any 2010 or even 2011 devices. Bad news for sony customers.

I see Netflix has been added to the Sony Entertainment Network. I want to get a bluray player that has Netlix and I hear it is only on 2012 models. I saw the Sony dbp-s185 starter pack in Powercity yesterday and was told it had just been released. However I have since read it is just repackaged to include the 8 free films. Does anyone know if Netflix will work on the SRN on this model? Cheers

No, you would need the BDP-S390 which is a much better player and is also wifi.

Are you sure as on the Sony Irish site a poster said they bought that model and Netflix isn't featured? http://www.sony.ie/discussions/message/729264

Netflix will be supported on 2012 and later models so the S390 will support it.

    Anyone want to buy a 2011 S480? :(
