2nd stage of implant - questions

As I've previously discussed on another thread, I got the implant placed in October/November. I'm getting the 2nd stage fitted at the end of march. I have a few questions.

Will they have to cut much of the gum?

I have to wear a denture at the minute (front tooth). How will this fit comfortably? (I won't be getting the crown until July, as I can't miss work and it has to be carried out on Saturdays)

I have a wedding the same day, it starts about 4 hours after the treatment, the meal prob starts about 6 hours after. What state will my mouth be in? Should I skip the wedding? ( I don't drink, so that's not a factor)

    Some helpful info:

I got the implant placed without sedation (just had a local anaesthetic) and I didn't find it painful, slightly uncomfortable, but not painful. I was able to drive, chat, generally mess around etc that same day. I was also able to eat soup and some bread about 5-6 hours later.
