Hi I am upgrading my pc therefore all ready have most of the components:

8GB Corsair Vengeance
Corsair GS700 PSU
Asus Cd-Drive
WD 1tb 7200rpm 64GB
Coolermaster Half x nvidia Edition
Windows 7

Going to need:

CPU (will be overclocking so aftermarket cooler required)
GFX Card
Motherboard

Budget = €300/€400

Another 80 quid would really make a big difference if you want to overclock.

Im Able to get my hands on another €100 so I guess I could splurge a bit more on the GFX Card/Motherboard.

While the 2500K is better in most situations and has a much higher overclock ceiling, why not stick withe the X6? In games, your graphics card is the priority and a 6870 is a downgrade from your 5870.

For €500, you could nearly get a 7950 and a Crucial M4 64GB SSD.
Your system would be a lot snappier with the SSD and it's a good graphics upgrade. If you couldn't stretch that far, there's the 7870 which should fit in which is due for release in about two weeks.
