Fire should arrive in sligo in the next 10,000 years

    I think it's photoshopped.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,361 ✭✭✭ChippingSodbury

    Nope!
From Sligo, but this place is up the mountains so we'd consider it the "sticks" (in much the same way as anyone from Dublin would consider anyone outside Lucan a culchie...)

    It's all relative!

Are you doubting the fact that there may be dinosaurs in Sligo???

I lived in Sligo town a few years back. I quite liked what they had done with the main street!

I am indeed. It's a well know fact that Sligo and it's surrounding areas are still in the Cambrian geological period.

Which one (and I don't mean which ma)?

Sounds like something you'd here in Father Ted. Except it would be a lot funnier if it were Jurassic Park, Craggy Island.

Or the OP has too much time on his hands.

This looks shopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time

It's not photoshopped. I live a couple of minutes away from that house & the dinosaurs are still there.

    True story :o

Sligo should cash in on this with rich tourists, add some ROAR noises and they'll could take in €100 before anyone's the wiser.

That rules out Dubs straight away.

I'm lost too - going into StreetView just shows a road with a Children Crossing sign and a silo of some sort.

What should we be seeing ?

The dinosaur standing up is smiling. No dinosaur would be smiling if it was in a field in Sligo.

    Has to be shopped.

On the subject of photoshopping/ airbrushing, I heard a funny story last year during the elections. A woman was talking to her husband, both in their sixties, about the Mary Davis posters. She told him that they were airbrushed and that Mary really didn't look like that. Later on that day he was talking to one of his mates and the issue of the posters came up and he said "Ach, sure that's a blowjob".
So maybe that's why the dinosaur is smiling: he got an "airbrush"...

They're not there anymore. Dead. Butchered and sent to Dublin as beef. ;)

the Dinosaurs aren't an issue compared to the neanderthals that roam the streets of the town.
