where could i get nice good quality paper (maybe more firm that ordinary paper)
ideally in a smaller size than a4. i would like to record information on it so preferably with lines. it would be best if it didnt tear easily!

even nice notebook paper with lines for writing stuff in?? just one page is enough

    thanks

A4 is the smallest size you can get in a single sheet but if you looking for a smaller size with lines then you can get reference note pads in a5

This reminds me of those lovely old fashioned stationery writing pads which I don't see too much of any more. Another suggestion, buy some heavy printer paper about 300gsm weight and use the computer to put your own lines on it in whatever colour you want. Just set your printer to print on card and should be ok. Or you can find some cards with lines in Easons in the office supplies section but they might be a bit too small though.

If you are looking just for one page, buy A4 sheet of good paper and make your own lines. And I am not trying to be funny, I am chopping papers for my purpose all the time. But I usually run them through my typewriter.

Any art and craft shop should have nice selection of papers, materials, weights, sizes, colours. And papers are reasonably cheap. There is specialised paper shop on the Upper Camden Street in Dublin (when you walk uphill, it's on your right), sorry for not remembering the name. They have hand-made heavy papers too.

Reads in Nassau Street have various types and qualities of paper including acid-free downstairs in the art area. Its the red shop opposite Trinity - was just in there today getting a few bits :)
