eBay \ Paypal - Buyer "Not as described scam"

Sold something on eBay and sent it off. Item was for a decent amount of money. Left the buyer positive feedback and kept the tracking details just in case.

Next thing I know the buyer opens up an item not recived case and escalates it to eBay. Money is taken back from my paypal account. All the dispute said from the buyer was "received jam jars". I replied saying the buyer was a scammer. Said he has pictures of him receiving the package (who the f*** does that?). He then changed the case to not as described today.

Contacted eBay by phone. They said that the case was being handled by eBay.com and took my details and said they'd collect me. Heard nothing. Case got closed within an hour of not a s described being opened and money still held in my account. Buyer has to return the "goods" and then will be issued a refund from the funds held on me once he supplies tracking details.

Anyone any idea of what I can do here? Have mailed both eBay and Paypal. See ms like a rotten review process if it found in his favour that fast!

The way it looks is that you could buy anything you wanted off eBay, say they sent you **** and they'll give you your money back!

Ive found them good with a few credit card chargebacks ive had where people have used stolen cards etc. they take the funds but as long as you have tracking details you get it back.

How this is working out is a disgrace though. Guarantee it was an automated review.

If you have an original receipt of postage then there should be the weight of the parcel on it, so the buyer may not be canny enough to match that weight up when returning the 'item'..
If you have proof of sending an item with the weight of say, 800g, just for arguments sake, and you get one in return with a very diffferent weight, then there is some proof - If you are expecting this item then its within your rights to ask your postman to witness you opening it - presumably the buyer will be sending you something in a box.
Hopefully at this point the buyer wont follow through and post anything back, and if he does, he will need to send it registered or he will lose the claim.
Dont give up all faith in paypal, if you get the right person on the phone then you may get some help.
Also, if this person IS a scammer, then he will have done this before to other sellers, and may have opened similar disputes, so paypal will have that info to take on board too.
Have your camera ready to take any pics of a parcel, in its unopened state, photograph the label clearly, and get your postman to be there when you open it, OR dont open it, take it into your local po/garda station and get them to witness you opening it.
