I want to convert the missus' bike from compact to triple (help her on the hills, you know:)).

I have 105 5600 or 5700 and really only need to swap the front and rear mechs but would consider swapping shifters and chainset too if anyone's interested.

5700 is practically new and 5600 has only a few thousand km.

Could do a few quid extra for ultegra maybe?

Have you tried a 28 on the back? or I think I heard someone talking about a 32 recently?? Might be worth a look

I have an ultegra 6603 triple front mech I took off a bike. Very good condition, little bit of chain rub but nothing bad all cleaned and oiled.

It's a braze-on with 34.9mm clamp that comes with it.

Looking for 20 for it if interested?

It already has a 28 on the back:). The rear mech won't work with a 32 (in fact 5600 is only rated up to 27 but does actually work with a 28).

Thanks Crow92. I saw that alright. I need a 31.8 but I might have a clamp somewhere. I'll need to check up. There are a few on Ebay I have my eye on (hoping I'll get them for next to nothing but of course that never happens:)).

Ah no bother, it's there if you want it/have a clamp. :)

@OP, I have a Tiagra triple chainset for sale, has seen very use, I think I was looking for €50 for it.

I have a clamp which is in use but I think I could swap things around and free it up. Would you take €15:o? No problem if you'd rather hang on to it, I can get a new 5600 for about €20 anyway.

Good man, you're a gent. Now, I might rouse Statler from his slumbers and see if he wants to part with his rear mech:).

If you use a long cage rear derailleur you should be able to get a 30 or 32 on the rear cassette.

Thanks. I think I'm sorted on the chainset front as I have a new Ultegra SL triple but it's 175 crank length which might be a bit long for Mrs. K., her being a rather petite 5'5"". What size is the Tiagra? Is it 4503 or 4603?
