    Hi Folks
Two year old ID filly got cut on her pastern and has healed well.Nice pink flesh about one inch square all thats left.Have been keeping it elasticated for about 3 months now but no sign of new hair.Does hair grow straight from pink skin or does the skin have to harden first? Also any tips on how to promote this long awaited hair.
    Many Thanks

Hi, as long as there's no signs of infection and it has healed well, the hair will grow back whenever it's ready. I wouldn't worry. It really just depends on the horse how quick it does. I haven't heard of anything that would promote hair growth though.
