Hong Kong. They have extremely low regulation of the markets.

I'm happy enough here and I can make a living (ish) from my work here, but I could earn more in the States I guess and would have a much bigger market for my products (self-employed fibre artist).

I'd only move there for a few years though, not permanently, and only if I could live somewhere relatively sane and progressive like Portland or Eugene Oregon, Seattle Washington or Vermont maybe.

I'd love to spend some time in Chiapas Mexico sometime too as a civilian supporter of the EZLN, but that's political, not my work...

WTF? This is like a career guidance counsellor question for 15 year olds at school.

What's this 'if you could' business?

Last time I looked everyone was free to come and go as they please.

    where would you work...and why.

    On the International Space Station.
Because it would be rather interesting.

The commute to work would also be one hell of a buzz.
