If i bring an Irish sky box to the uk.

Bills being paid in Ireland and box part of a multi room subscription,

Will it work same as home, with RTE,TV3 etc, if i connected it straight to the dish in the uk?

    Thanks.

if its multiroom it needs to be connected to a phoneline relevant to the address of the multiroom subscription

If sky find out they are obliged to cancel your card even if it isn't Multiroom as the Irish card is only valid in Ireland.

But to use a Multiroom sub box at a different address is actually fraud. They will detect it and can bill you for a full subscription.

Cheers, It's been disconnected from the phone for ages because the fella who fitted it made a balls of the plastic connection.

The fraud bit I'd be worried about!

So if i got a full subscription in my own name could i bring it over without too many problems?

Yes a full subscription in your own name would be fine. Ive had an Irish subscripion over here in London for the past seven years with no problem at all. Good luck with it.

    whats the difference in channels?
is it that the Irish one has the 5 Irish channels but doesn't have Channel 5?

Irish one has the 5 Irish channels, none of the ITV/UTV channels or Channel 5 channels.

You'd miss stuff from home and the Irish news.

Okay, what we're talking here is about how to break the Terms and Conditions of your Sky subscription. Which isn't allowed.
