Recently I have noticed that something is wrong with my Benro tripod head.
I'm affraid to leave my gear on it. Maybe someone will know how to fix it without sending it to the manufacturer?
By the way, no I didn't put there too heavy lens :)

Maybe this will help >Read it here> http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1032&message=32415891

I can't believe I would ever say to be careful or even beware of a Gitzo product!
My friend is travelling in Europe with his 5D Mk II and his brand spanking new 24-70mm L.
All has been going well until today when he goes to do a long exposure vertical shot and his Gitzo bubble ballhead GH1780QR breaks apart between the head and the pan base... dropping the camera onto the concrete lens first!

The head has a couple of internal screws holding the panning base to the actual ball head casing and it appears these screws somehow came loose inside the head and fell apart. This is a BRAND NEW head he bought for travelling to match with his GT1550 tripod.

Maybe take it apart and fix it, shouldnt be too difficult?

There are four screws on the back, but i really don't want to play with it. Besides, you know - It's easy to dismount something, but it might not be that easy to mount everything back together :)
